Asian Scholars International Conference 2026

Host Organizations
Asian Scholars International Conference
The Asian Scholars International Conference (ASIC) 2026 is jointly hosted by leading Indonesian student and scholar organizations in China, working collaboratively to advance academic excellence, cross-cultural dialogue, and Indonesia–China cooperation in research, innovation, and sustainable development.

Together, PPI Tiongkok, Perluni Tiongkok, PPIT Nanjing, and the Scholars of Indonesia–China Network (SINO) work hand in hand to advance academic, cultural, and professional collaboration between Indonesia and China. Through initiatives such as international conferences, research exchanges, and student empowerment programs, these organizations aim to strengthen bilateral understanding, foster innovation, and support inclusive regional development.
As the host organizations of ASIC 2026, they are committed to creating an inclusive, rigorous, and forward-looking academic platform—bridging disciplines, institutions, and communities to shape a sustainable and globally connected future.
The Indonesian Students Association in China (PPI Tiongkok) began as a collective initiative to create a unified platform connecting Indonesian student associations across China. The idea first emerged in 2009 with the establishment of the “PPI China” mailing list, which enabled Indonesian students to exchange ideas, coordinate activities, and envision a national-level organization.
This early collaboration culminated in the official establishment of PPI Tiongkok on October 28, 2012, in Beijing. Since then, PPI Tiongkok has grown into a nationwide organization encompassing three major regional divisions: Northern China, Eastern China, and Southern China.
As a non-political and inclusive organization, PPI Tiongkok is committed to empowering Indonesian students academically, socially, and culturally. Through advocacy, leadership development, academic forums, and international engagement, PPI Tiongkok plays a vital role in strengthening people-to-people ties and fostering constructive contributions by Indonesian youth to Indonesia–China relations.
Perluni Tiongkok was originally founded as the Indonesian Medical Students Community (MKI) by Indonesian medical students in China who recognized the importance of collective organization and professional development among health scholars abroad. On September 27, 2018, the community was formally transformed into Perluni Tiongkok to strengthen its institutional role and expand its contribution to global and national health development.
During the 8th Congress of PPI Tiongkok in 2020, held virtually, Perluni Tiongkok was officially recognized as an autonomous body under PPI Tiongkok. Since then, it has served as a key platform for Indonesian students and alumni in health-related disciplines to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and contribute professionally.
Perluni Tiongkok connects Indonesian scholars across a wide range of health fields, including Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Midwifery, Nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Physiotherapy, Psychology, and other health sciences. The organization is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, professional integrity, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and social engagement—while upholding Indonesia’s reputation in the global health and medical community.
The Indonesian Students Association in China – Nanjing Branch (PPIT Nanjing) was established on October 28, 2008, initially under the name PERMIT Nanjing. As one of the founding branches of PPI Tiongkok, PPIT Nanjing has played a pioneering role in organizing and empowering Indonesian students in the region.
Today, PPIT Nanjing serves a dynamic community of more than 600 Indonesian students across Nanjing and surrounding cities, including Xuzhou, Jurong, Ma’anshan, Zhenjiang, and Huai’an. Guided by the values of solidarity, nationalism, inclusivity, and social responsibility, PPIT Nanjing operates as a non-political organization focused on academic development, leadership training, and cultural exchange.
The organization actively supports campus-based associations such as INA (Indonesia NUIST Association) at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) and JIA (JSAHVC Indonesian Association) at Jiangsu Agri-Animal Husbandry Vocational College (JSAHVC). Through these networks, PPIT Nanjing strengthens cross-cultural connections and positions Indonesian students as active contributors within the global academic community in China.
